The Skylon Tower and the Power Station

The Skylon Tower and the Niagara Parks Power Station together: the guided walk, the small-group and boat bundles, or both tickets on your own, with the walk between them (Oct 2026).

Updated October 2026

The Skylon Tower and the Niagara Parks Power Station are about 1.7 km apart on foot, and the bundle that joins them best is Walks Canada’s three-hour guided walk: the tower’s deck first, then an hour in the station and an hour in The Tunnel, with both tickets pre-reserved. It is from US$71 a person on GetYourGuide, rated 4.5 from 124 reviews (checked October 2026). On your own, the two tickets cost less; what the walk adds is the guide and the story.

The tower and the station

The Skylon Tower rises 520 feet from its base, 775 feet above the Niagara Gorge, and its Ride to the Top costs CA$18 for an adult (13 and over) and CA$9 for a child (4 to 12) at the tower; it is open from 9 am to 11 pm Sunday to Friday and to midnight on Saturday (October 2026). The Power Station is down by the river on the Niagara Parkway, with regular admission at CA$33 for an adult and CA$21.50 for a child (3 to 12), plus 13% HST. On foot it is about 1.7 km from one to the other, down the hill towards Table Rock and along the parkway, measured on the map. WEGO’s Green and Blue lines stop at Table Rock Centre, next to the station.

What the guided walk is like

The walk meets at the Skylon Tower, rides the glass elevator to the deck, and stops at the daredevil exhibit with the real barrels people rode over the falls. It then walks past the Illumination Tower and the Nikola Tesla statue to the falls, and spends about an hour in the station and an hour in The Tunnel, finishing at 7005 Niagara Parkway. It is not suitable for wheelchair users or strollers, and anyone coming from the US side needs a passport to cross into Canada.

Is the bundle worth it?

On your own, the Skylon ride and the station’s regular admission come to CA$51 for an adult before tax at the venues’ prices, against US$71 for the guided walk. The difference buys a guide for three hours, pre-reserved tickets and the story that ties the tower’s view of the river to the machines in the hall. If you are happy with the station’s audio guide, buy the two tickets and walk.

The Skylon Tower’s height, Ride to the Top prices and hours are from skylon.com (the observation deck, tickets and contact pages); the Power Station’s prices from niagaraparks.com. Both read in October 2026. The GetYourGuide prices, ratings, itineraries and inclusions are from the listings, read in US dollars on 30 October 2026. The walking distance is measured on the map.
