The Power Station from Toronto and the US Side
Getting to the Niagara Parks Power Station from Toronto by day tour, GO Transit or car, and from the US side over the Rainbow Bridge: which tours include the station and what the crossing needs (Oct 2026).
Most Toronto day tours to Niagara Falls do not go inside the Niagara Parks Power Station: they include the boat and Journey Behind the Falls, and at most drive past the hydro stations. The exception is Queen Tour’s Toronto day and evening tour, which replaces the Hornblower boat with Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel tickets when the boat is closed for the season; it is from US$60 a person in current promotion (usually US$86) on GetYourGuide (checked October 2026), rated 4.8 from 782 reviews. Otherwise, use a tour’s free time at the falls for the station, or go on your own.

The Power Station and The Tunnel take about two hours, so a tour with three or four hours of free time can fit them if you skip the add-ons. The station is about 500 m up the parkway from Table Rock Centre and the Horseshoe Falls viewpoints. visit-niagara-falls.com compares a tour, the GO train and driving from Toronto in more detail.

On your own from Toronto

GO Transit serves Niagara Falls from Toronto all year, seven days a week; check its trip planner for the times and fare on your date. From the station at Niagara Falls, WEGO’s buses run along the river, every 30 minutes from November on the Green and Blue lines, which stop at Table Rock Centre and the Floral Showhouse either side of the Power Station; a 24-hour adult pass is CA$16. By car, the nearest parking is Falls Parking Lot A, next to the station. If you are staying on in Toronto, torontocntowertour.com covers an evening up the CN Tower.
From the US side
The Power Station is in Canada, at 7005 Niagara Parkway, Ontario. From Niagara Falls, New York, walk over the Rainbow Bridge, the only pedestrian crossing at the falls; the toll is collected only going into the United States, at the turnstile: US$1.00 in US quarters, or CA$1.25 in Canadian money or by tap card (October 2026). US and Canadian citizens need a WHTI-compliant document to cross by land: a passport, a US passport card, a NEXUS or other Trusted Traveler card, or an Enhanced Driver’s License. From the Canadian end of the bridge the station is about 2.1 km on foot along the parkway, measured on the map, or take WEGO.
If you are weighing which side to base yourself on, niagarafallstourusa.com sets the two sides against each other, and caveofthewindsniagara.com covers Cave of the Winds on Goat Island, the American side’s nearest equivalent to a walk at the foot of the falls.
Tour inclusions, times and packages are from the GetYourGuide listings, read in US dollars on 30 October 2026. GO Transit’s service is from gotransit.com; WEGO’s fares and fall-winter timetable, the station’s address, the stops and parking from niagaraparks.com; the Rainbow Bridge toll from niagarafallsbridges.com; the crossing documents from cbp.gov. All read in October 2026. The walking distances are measured on the map.
